It is with great sadness that I have to inform, that our dear friend and founder of Liverpool Homeless Outreach Ethel Dunn died peacefully on 10/07/2007. Her funeral was held at Larkhill Gospel Hall on Friday 15/07/2011 when her lifelong friend and fellow worker Graham Swift conducted the service of thanksgiving for the life of Ethel. What was evident was her unswerving faith in The Lord Jesus Christ and her compassion for many of the friends we serve on a Sunday Evening. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Liverpool Homeless Outreach commenced in late 1991 and is a voluntary Christian outreach ministry.
After 16 years of meeting at The subway underneath St Georges Hall, we had a request from The Liverpool City Council to discontinue at this venue. From 16th December 2007 we continued our support for the homeless at Gladstones in Slater Street which is off Bold Street. (http://www.gladstonestrust.org)
We will continue to meet each Sunday Night at approximately 9.30pm to pray and commend the work to God for safety and opportunity in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.
